Pre-Poo for 30 min

This is especially important in the wintertime. Coating your strands with one of these oils and moisturisers will help reduce the amount of swelling in the cuticle. Just smooth it over your curls and let it sit 15-30 minutes before you cleanse. You'll notice how soft your hair is!

Co-Wash 

If you are cleansing your hair weekly with a sulfate-free shampoo you may want to switch to 'co-washing' - this is washing your hair with a cleansing conditioner. This method is even milder then using a sulfate-free shampoo. Here are some great suggestions:

Handle your hair with care

In the winter months your hair may be more dry. Dry, brittle hair is more fragile so handle it with care.  Try finger detangling and ditch the combs and brushes for a while. Only handle your hair if it is pliable,  a super slippery conditioner will help your fingers glide through:
